Exhibition proposal

The Acadian Museum of Quebec’s primary mission is to chronicle and promote the compelling story of the Acadian odyssey, settlement and presence today in Quebec. Firmly anchored in the cultural reality of the region, the museum’s temporary exhibitions showcase a world of diversity featuring fine local talent.

The Museum is currently accepting proposals for exhibitions.

We invite visual artists to send us their proposals.

By visual arts, we mean: drawing, painting, sculpture, engraving, lithography, collage, pottery, etc.

Your proposal should include:

· A provisional title for the exhibition

· A brief description of the exhibition project (250-words maximum)

· Your curriculum vitae (3 pages maximum)

· A press release

· A maximum of 20 photos or numbered digital photos (JPG files not to exceed 1 MB with a resolution of approx. 1024 x 768 pixels)

· A detailed list of all photos or videos

· Video length must not exceed 5 minutes

The overall quality of the visual presentation of your exhibition proposal will be taken into consideration.

Priority will be given to proposals submitted by resident and nonresident Gaspesian artists.

General Information:

· Applications will be reviewed by a peer assessment committee

· The floor plan for the 90 square meter exhibition hall is available in PDF format.

Submissions are accepted on an ongoing basis.

Please note that all dossiers must be received by October 31st in order to be considered for the following season.
